Description | The Living Books Reading Lounge is a collection of recorded conversations with Living Books drawn from the Swansea University community. The project was initiated by the Inclusive Services Group, a grassroots network of Professional Service staff at the University. It builds on a series of live Living Books events held between 2020 and 2023. A Living Book is a person who shares their lived experience or unique perspective—often from a marginalised or underrepresented community—in a conversational format. These stories offer powerful insights into identity, resilience, and community, and the Reading Lounge aims to preserve them through recorded video ‘readings’. This initiative ensures that the voices of Swansea University’s diverse community are preserved for future generations, while also making the Living Books experience more accessible to a wider audience |
