Consulting Documents
The documents catalogued are available for consultation in the public searchroom at the Richard Burton Archives. You will need to note the document references for the items that you are interested in to order the documents when you visit.
Details of our location, opening hours and reader registration requirements can be found on our website http://www.swansea.ac.uk/library/archive-and-research-collections/richard-burton-archives
If you have identified documents in the catalogue but are unable to visit in person, please contact us for advice and assistance.
Can I have copies of documents you hold?
Documents we hold can be copied, but only if doing so will not result in any damage to the document, or an infringement of copyright. For more information on photocopying services see: https://www.swansea.ac.uk/library/richard-burton-archives/visitor-information
Why do restrictions apply to some items?
Some records contain sensitive personal information about named individuals, and are restricted under the Data Protection Act 1998. Sometimes depositors place restrictions on access to their records when we receive them. However, the majority of the records we hold are available without any restrictions on access.
